Three lines, read from the bottom up
A trigram is a combination of three yin-yang lines. Here 1 means yang (solid) and 0 means yin (broken); each pattern is written from the bottom line upward. Natural images are metaphors for attention, not fixed personality labels.
Use natural images as an entry point
Heaven, lake, fire, thunder, wind, water, mountain, and earth give an abstract situation a sense of direction: rising, permeating, gathering, carrying, or starting suddenly. Describe the change you can actually see first; let the image help you ask a better question.
